Radiesse Treatment

Radiesse is an advanced injectable treatment that helps restore structure, definition and support to the face. It contains calcium hydroxylapatite, known as CaHA, microspheres suspended in a smooth gel. These microspheres provide immediate structural support while also stimulating your body’s natural collagen production over time. Radiesse is FDA approved and has been used in aesthetics for over 20 years.

Why Choose Radiesse?

Radiesse is ideal for patients looking for a more structured, lifted result rather than a soft or puffy appearance. Unlike hyaluronic acid filler, Radiesse is not hydrophilic, meaning it does not attract water in the same way. Less product is often needed to achieve a comparable result, making it an excellent option for facial support and contouring.

Hyperdilute Radiesse can also be used as a collagen-stimulating treatment to improve skin quality, with results that can be comparable to other biostimulators such as Sculptra. Undiluted Radiesse also offers structural support, which Sculptra does not provide in the same way.

Does It Hurt?

Discomfort is usually no more than with other injectable treatments. Radiesse can be used with or without lidocaine for comfort. At Hopkinson Aesthetics, we use the Radiesse product containing lidocaine unless there is a clinical reason not to.

How Long Does Radiesse Last?

Results are expected to last around 18 months, although many patients choose to maintain their results at approximately 12 months.

We encourage a review appointment at 8 weeks, once the treatment has fully settled. Collagen stimulation continues to develop, with full results usually seen around 3 months.

What to expect after treatment

For the first 12–24 hours, you may notice:

Radiesse cannot be dissolved. Instead, the product gradually breaks down over time while stimulating your own collagen production. Your suitability for treatment will be assessed carefully during consultation.
