Polynuclotides are fragments of DNA derived from the gonads of salmon and trout and are used in aesthetic medicine to stimulate skin regeneration. They increase the hydration of the skin and act as an antioxidant scavenger and biostimulator, increasing collagen and firmness whilst reducing pigmentation. They also increase fibroblast viability and vessel formation. 3 to 4 treatments are required 3 to 4 weeks apart. A maintenace treatment is required every 6 months to maintain the results. Treatment outcomes depend on individual biological responses and are subject to lifestyle factors.
