Cool Laser is one of the treatments patients are often curious about, but also unsure what to expect from. It isn’t a quick fix or a one day result, and understanding that from the start makes a huge difference to how you approach it and the outcome you get.
It’s a treatment that works beneath the surface, helping your skin repair, strengthen, and improve over time.
When you understand how that process works, it becomes much easier to see why the results look so natural and last so well.
This is what actually happens after your first Cool Laser treatment and what you need to know before you start 👉🏼

I see it constantly in clinic - people investing real time and money into their skin, doing a lot of the right things, but holding onto habits that are slowly undoing all of it.
Here are some of the most common ones:
👉🏽 Over-cleansing or using the wrong cleanser
Stripping the skin twice a day with a foaming or gel cleanser is one of the fastest ways to compromise your barrier without realising it. A disrupted barrier absorbs less, reacts more, and ages faster. Your cleanser is the foundation of everything else and most people aren’t getting it right.
👉🏽 Applying the right products at the wrong time of day
Vitamin C works hardest in the morning when it can neutralise daytime UV and environmental damage. Retinol belongs at night. Using either at the wrong time significantly reduces what you’re getting from them.
👉🏽 Mixing actives without understanding interactions
Certain combinations actively reduce each other’s efficacy or create irritation that sets the skin back rather than moving it forward. More actives in one routine is rarely more effective, and often counterproductive.
👉🏽 Sun beds and unprotected UV exposure
This one is non-negotiable. Sun beds accelerate collagen breakdown, drive pigmentation, and significantly increase the risk of skin cancer. No treatment in clinic can undo the cumulative damage of regular UV exposure, and continuing to use sun beds while investing in skin health is one of the most counterproductive things you can do for your skin long term. Consistent daily SPF isn’t optional either. UV damage builds silently every single day, and it undermines treatments and skincare more reliably than almost anything else.
👉🏽 Skipping the neck and chest entirely
These areas have thinner skin, less sebaceous activity, and often receive none of the SPF or actives that go on the face. They show the effects of that neglect earlier than most people expect.
Until these are addressed, even the best treatment plan will only take you so far. ... See MoreSee Less

A lot of patients come in wanting to look after their skin and age well, but feel unsure about where injectables fit into that. It can feel like an all or nothing decision, when in reality it doesn’t have to be.
Good aesthetic care isn’t about pushing you into treatments you’re not ready for. It’s about understanding your skin, knowing what’s actually changing, and building a plan that feels right for you at your own pace.
This is exactly how you can age well, with or without injectables, and what your options really look like ➡️

The under-eye area is something almost everyone notices on themselves, and it’s one of the most common concerns I see in clinic.
That persistent tiredness, the hollowness, the thin crepey skin that no concealer quite covers. It’s one of the hardest areas to treat well, and for a long time, the options were limited.
Polynucleotides have genuinely changed that.
The skin under the eyes is one of the thinnest on the entire face. It loses collagen, hydration, and structural integrity faster than almost anywhere else, which is why it tends to show signs of ageing and fatigue earlier and more obviously.
Polynucleotides work by delivering highly purified DNA fragments into the skin that signal cells to repair, regenerate, and produce new collagen and elastin. The result is skin that functions better, looks healthier, and holds onto that quality over time.
Here’s what they can do in this area:
✨️ Thicken and strengthen the delicate skin beneath the eye, reducing that thin, fragile quality
✨️ Improve dark circles by addressing the skin quality and transparency that makes them more visible
✨️ Reduce hollowness and the sunken appearance that makes the eyes look tired
✨️ Soften fine lines and crepey texture in an area that’s notoriously resistant to topical products
✨️ Improve hydration and plumpness without adding volume or changing the way you look
✨️ Calm puffiness and reduce the inflammation that contributes to under-eye congestion
✨️ Brighten the overall appearance of the eye area for a more rested, refreshed look
✨️ Produce results that build gradually and continue to improve over a course of treatments

There’s no shortage of options in aesthetics. New treatments, new techniques, and a lot of noise around what’s worth doing.
When it comes to your face, more choice doesn’t always mean better decisions.
In clinic, there are certain things we won’t compromise on.
These are the principles that guide every recommendation we make and every treatment we carry out, because they’re what protect your results both now and in the long term ➡️

There’s a shift that happens in the face in your 40s that skincare alone can’t address, and it’s the reason Sculptra has become one of my most used treatments.
It’s not always about lines - often it’s about structure. The subtle loss of volume and support that happens gradually over time, the way the face starts to look a little more hollow, a little less defined, a little more tired even when you’re not. That’s collagen loss, and it’s one of the most significant changes that happens to the skin from our 40s onwards.
Unlike filler, which replaces volume directly, Sculptra works by stimulating your own collagen production from within. It’s a slower process, and that’s the whole point. The results build gradually over months, they look completely natural, and they last. We’re talking up to two years or more.
The reason it’s become such a go-to for this age group is that it addresses what’s actually happening beneath the surface, not just the visible signs of it. You’re not masking the problem, you’re genuinely rebuilding the structure that’s been lost.
The faces I see respond best to Sculptra are those that look a little deflated, where skin quality and support have changed more than any single feature. It restores what time has gradually taken, in a way that looks like you on a really good day, every day.
If you’re curious whether Sculptra could be right for you, DM the word SCULPTRA and I’ll send you everything you need to know 💌 ... See MoreSee Less

Sometimes it’s not one line or one area that changes how the face looks.
It’s a gradual loss of support through the cheeks and midface that then starts to show around the mouth, creating heaviness, shadowing, and a more tired appearance.
In this case, we focused on restoring structure through the cheeks and midface first, then refining the area around the mouth.
By supporting the face where volume had been lost, we’ve softened those lines and improved the overall balance, rather than trying to treat everything in isolation.
The result feels lifted, smoother, and more supported, without looking overdone or obvious.

Say hello to Cool Laser ✨
A gentle but effective way to refresh the skin, improve texture and bring back that smoother, brighter finish without jumping straight into more intensive resurfacing.
Cool Laser is a great option if your skin is looking a little dull, uneven or tired, or if you’re starting to notice early texture changes, fine lines, pigmentation or enlarged pores.
It works by creating controlled renewal in the skin, helping to stimulate collagen and encourage fresher, healthier-looking skin over time. Think clearer tone, smoother texture and that polished glow that still looks like your skin, just better.
It’s a lovely next step if you’ve been enjoying facials or microneedling but want something a little more advanced, with manageable downtime and results that build with each treatment.

Most patients don’t walk into clinic asking for Sculptra. They come in saying something in their skin feels different.
Their skin doesn’t look as firm, their face feels a little flatter, or they just don’t look as fresh as they used to. It’s subtle, but it’s enough to notice.
These early changes are often the first signs of collagen loss, and understanding them properly is what allows us to choose the right approach. Instead of chasing individual concerns, we can focus on supporting the skin at a deeper level.
These are the early skin changes we hear about all the time in clinic, and why they often lead to Sculptra 👉🏼

The eye area is one of the first places people notice ageing, but it’s also one of the areas most commonly misunderstood in aesthetics.
Dark circles, hollowness, crepey skin, and a tired appearance are rarely caused by one single issue, which is why quick fixes often fall short.
Treating ageing eyes properly means understanding the structure around the eyes, the quality of the skin, and how the mid face supports the entire area.
When those things are assessed properly, the results look far more natural and balanced.
These are the hard truths about treating ageing eyes that we wish more people understood 👉🏼

Happy International Nurses Day! Today is a day to celebrate nurses in every setting, from wards and theatres to clinics, communities, private practice, education and aesthetics.
Nursing is one of the most rewarding professions, but it’s also one that asks a lot of you. It takes clinical skill, empathy, resilience, patience, judgement and the ability to stay calm when people need you most.
It’s not just what we do.
It’s how we think, how we care, how we notice the things others might miss, and how we advocate for the person in front of us.
There are so many different paths within nursing, and that’s one of the things I love most about it. You can grow, specialise, adapt and build a career that still has care at the centre of it.
To every nurse who shows up with compassion, professionalism and pride, today is for you.
It really is an incredible profession to be part of 🤍
