Frequently Asked Questions
Every anti-wrinkle treatment starts with a free initial consultation to decide the best course of treatment. One of the anti-wrinkle treatments I use is commonly known as Botox, which is actually a brand name, the drug within this product is called Botulinum toxin type A. Botulium toxin type A is a protein that when injected correctly into the face reduces the muscles in the face contracting, it works by blocking the signal the nerve sends to the muscle, this then reduces the formation of fine lines and wrinkles very successfully. Botulinum toxin type A is a prescription only medication, therefore it is a legal requirement that a consultation must be carried out with a Prescriber before the treatment takes place.
A free consultation is required before any treatment. Prices for treatments carried out using Botulinum toxin type A (Botox):
1 Area – £170
2 Areas – £240
3 Areas – £260
A consultation is carried out before the treatment to check suitability and to ensure it is safe you for you have.
Rebecca is extremely gentle, however, it may feel like a small scratch, some patients describe it as a popping feeling.
As with any injectable treatment bruising, swelling, infection, vascular compromise and nerve damage are potential risks. An allergic reaction to the products used is also a potential risk, it is important to be open and candid before the treatment and follow the aftercare advice to minimise risk.
